From Genoa Airport to the railway stations of Genova Brignole or Genova Piazza Principe
From Genoa Cristoforo Colombo airport, to get to Sori, you must first take a transfer service that goes from the airport to the main railway stations in Genoa. The transfer service is called “Volabus”, it is the service that connects the airport with the railway stations of Genova Brignole and Genova Piazza Principe, passing through the city center. For its proximity to Sori we recommend getting off at the Genova Brignole station which is the last stop of the Volabus. In any case, both stations are connected with Sori.
The frequency of the Volabus is about 2 departures from the airport every hour until 22:00. The journey time is 30/40 minutes.
The ticket price per adult is € 6.00, children up to 8 travel free. If you buy the ticket online the cost drops to € 5.00 per adult.
From Genova Brignole or Genova Piazza Principe to Sori by train
Once you arrive at the Genova Brignole or Genova Piazza Principe station, the trains to be taken are the regional ones with direction to Sestri Levante or La Spezia, also in this case the frequency is about 2 trains per hour with the last departure only from Genova Brignole at 23:20.
Be careful before boarding the train to check on the monitors or on the yellow billboards that the trains with direction Sestri Levante or La Spezia stop in Sori as some regional trains can skip some of the stations including Sori.
Train tickets can be purchased online (www.trenitalia.com) or directly at the train station at the ticket office or at automatic machines.
The cost is € 2.50 from Genova Brignole and € 2.80 from Genova Piazza Principe.
From Genova Brignole to Sori by bus
Another way to reach Sori from the center of Genova is the bus that departs from Viale Caviglia in front of the Genova Brignole railway station with direct connections to Sori. Also in this case the frequency is 2 departures every hour until 21:00, the journey time is approximately 45 minutes. It is an extra urban line called ATP (the color of the buses is blue and gray), the bus to Sori is marked with the letter S or the letter T with direction Recco or direction Rapallo.
You can buy bus tickets in any tobacconist or newsstand near the Viale Caviglia stop or at the automatic machine next to the stop. It is not recommended to buy tickets directly on the bus because the supplement is almost double the ticket price. The normal cost of the ticket is € 1.80.
In Sori you have to get off at the second stop in correspondence to the railway station.
From Genoa Airport to Sori by private transfer
